Dive Belize By Cruise Ship
So you want to Dive Belize and you are visiting Belize on a Crusie Ship so what option do you have for Cruise Ship Diving in Belize.
Well when you visit Belize by Cruise ship you have 2 options for Cruise Ship diving and one is using the ships operator who are excellent by the way and the other is by using the operator I recommend and the only reason I work with this shop is because they cruise ship dive the way I personally like to dive and that is with a maximum of 8 divers only where as the Belize cruise ship operator obviously puts many more divers on there boats and personally I prefer smaller groups however if you don’t mind diving with lots of people then the Belize Cruise Ship Diving operator is very good.
The operator I recommend whose dive shop is located just 2 blocks from the Belize cruise ship village and you can see their dive flag flying full directions will be provided when you book.
The diving offered by this shop is along the Belize Barrier Reef and there are some excellent dive sites located just 30 minutes from shore such as The Lounge, Jr Wall, The Big One or Chub change to name just a few favorite dive sites that offer the visiting Diver some excellent choices based on the time they will be in Belize.
I personally would like to say while this diving is very nice and very well received please come back to Belize for a longer duration and Dive Belize again as Belize has such fantastic diving that you just cannot justify it in one days diving. Please see my video on the differences in diving Belize depending on the area you are visiting Belize Diving Differences
On this Belize Barrier Reef diving trip, it takes 30 minutes or so to get out to the diving locations and along the way you have a very good chance of seeing Manatees or Dolphins on the ride out to the reef,
Some things you are likely to see on your day diving are Morays Sharks, Turtles and lots of tropical fish.
You will have lunch on a little island which is included in your price as are soft drinks, water etc the whole trip takes about 5 hours and at the end of the trip you are dropped off right at your cruise ship rather that having to go back into the city to catch a tender.
If you need equipment rental it is available for the day, I always recommend you having at least your own mask, fins and snorkel as I never could get over the fact that I would have to put a snorkel in my mouth that has been in hundreds of other peoples mouths before, Ugghhhhh they are so cheap that its just worth buying your own and taking them with you. If you have kids it even cheaper to get them there own set rather than renting in each location you visit,
Here is a great inexpensive mask fins and Snorkel set I found on Amazon which would be excellent for your cruise trip and way cheaper than renting Mask Fins Snorkel Set
Cost is $112.50 per diver for a 2 tank dive which includes tanks and weights, if you need equipment it is available for an additional $22.50
