Without any doubt WHATSOEVER the best Belize diving is located at the Belize Atolls.
Belize is home to 3 of the 4 Atolls in the Western hemisphere and these Atolls are called
Lighthouse Reef Atoll
Glovers Reef Atoll
The 4th Atoll is located in Mexico and is called Chinchorro Banks.
If you don’t know what an Atoll is, it is a body of water surrounded by an outer reef system and you can see

Belize is lucky to have these 3 Atolls and they offer the visiting diver what could the very best diving in the Caribbean and ask any diver that has dove any of these 3 Atolls and the answer will be universal AWESOME DIVING.
All 3 Atolls offer the dive superb Wall diving which lofs of beautiful healthy corals and abundant marine life.
Sites such as The Elbow at Turneffe are legendary for big pelagics and huge shoals of fish. The Elbow is best dove when the current is running and this dive is electrifying when caught right.
Silver Caves located at Lighthouse Reef is also a superb beautiful dive site with the top of the wall starting at just 25 feet so the ambient light is plentiful to illuminate the dense coral forests that jut out off the wall this site is one of my favorites and many a dive I have had the pleasure of diving with Mantas that patrol the wall drop off.
Glovers Reef is another one of my favorites and the diving just like at Turneffe and Lighthouse is absolutely fantastic with natural fish behaviour crystal clear waters and never ending wall drop offs.
If you are an experienced diver that has traveled extensively to other exotic dive locations you only have ONE CHOICE when considering diving Belize and that is to dive the very best of Belize and that is the Belize Atolls.
All three Belize Atolls are remote and only offer a few dive resorts in each location so most offer inclusive packages which include 3 meals a day 3 dives a day and when you do a real price comparison to staying and diving the very best diving Belize has to offer to staying on Ambergris Caye or Placencia then you will see there is not much difference in the prices when you calculate what you will spend on meals diving and for that little bit extra money it will be well well worth it for the more quality dive experience.
